KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A fund raiser is underway for a Heartland man who was seriously injured in a one vehicle crash back in July.

Tim Davis of Kirksville was injured in the one vehicle crash.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Davis was injured when the vehicle he was driving went off Route W in Schuyler County, overturned and went down an embankment before coming to rest on the drivers side. Davis was thrown from the pickup. He was flown from the scene to a Columbia hospital for treatment of injuries.

Davis has not been able to return to work since the crash. He is the sole provider for his family, including his wife and two young sons.

Friends of Davis are helping out by giving away a rifle.
