MACON, MO -- Friday, several people came out for the opening of the Macon County Innovation Center.

The center is designed to help businesses get started and grow.

Director of Macon County Economic Development Denise Bennett says it's not only a business incubator, but an innovation café.

“We have memberships available for community members to come in and use the space for internet access for office equipment,” Bennett said. “If they need board room space, or just a general service building it’s for anyone in the community to use.”

Monthly membership is $39 a month, or $10 for a day pass.

The center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., but closed from noon to one for lunch.
