UNIONVILLE, MISSOURI -- A northeast Missouri man, who has had ten felony convictions in the past, has entered guilty pleas to four more.

Donald Gilligan Junior, 48, of Unionville Missouri, entered the pleas to manufacturing a controlled substance, keeping or maintaining a public nuisance, felony possession of a controlled substance and a felony count of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

Gilligan was sentenced to 20 years on the manufacturing charges, seven years each on the nuisance and possession charges and four years on the paraphernalia charge. All the sentences will be served at the same time. Gilligan, who has ten previous felony convictions in three states, was sentenced as a prior and persistent offender.

The arrest was sparked by an investigation after Gilligan, and two others, after attempting to illegally hunt deer. Items discovered in their vehicle lead investigators to the residence, where they found a meth lab, two guns and eleven illegally taken raccoons
