KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A northeast Missouri woman pleaded guilty Tuesday to two separate felony cases.

Shelia Risher, 49, of Kirksville is set to be sentenced on September 4, 2012 in Adair County Circuit Court.

Adair County Prosecuting Attorney, Matt Wilson asked that Risher be sentenced to 12 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Risher pleaded guilty to stealing, a class c felony.

In January of 2012, Wal-Mart loss prevention employees were able to identify Risher as using a scheme where she would change u-p-c stickers to lower the price of items prior to checking out.

She also pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance.

In January of 2012 the Kirksville Police Department was at Risher’s home to assist another state agency, and they discovered several items of drug paraphernalia and controlled substance.

Risher has been in the Adair County Detention Center since her arrest in January 2012.
