LANCASTER, MO -- One community got together on this Sunday to help support their history.

The Schuyler County Historical Society held it's annual potluck and ice cream social at the Schuyler County Museum in Lancaster.

People had a chance to enjoy some live music while sitting on lawn chairs and eating some homemade comfort food.

Many people came out in support to help preserve the local history of the county.

"Schuyler County has been great about supporting the museum. The residents have given us so many items of interest from schools, businesses, and other history. It's been great working here," said Marilyn Foreman of the Schuyler County Historical Society.

The event was of freewill donation and all the money raised will go towards the general fund for upkeep and maintenance of the museum.
