Clinton Mitchell, headed to prison following guilty pleas.
MACON, MISSOURI -- A Macon man facing four charges, including three felonies, has entered guilty pleas to three of the charges.
Clinton Mitchell, 36, pleaded guilty to felony counts of domestic assault and felonious restraint, he also entered a guilty plea to a misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child.
Mitchell was sentenced to 30 days in jail on the misdemeanor charge, with credit for time already served. he was sentenced to three years in prison on each of the felony charges, with those sentences to be served at the same time. However, the three years will be served after he finished serving a seven year sentenced handed down on a guilty plea to a charge of stealing a firearm. That charge dates back to 2010.
Mitchell had been accused of hitting the victim with a metal rod, a children’s bat, before breaking a beer bottle over the victim's head. He was also accused of keeping the victim from leaving the residence where the incident occurred.
