Gun found in this location, believed to be involved in recent thefts
KIRKSVILLE, MISSOURI -- Kirksville Police believe they may have recovered one of the weapons stolen recently from vehicles in the city.
Police received an anonymous call Thursday afternoon reporting a pistol in a trash dumpster. Officers found a small caliber handgun that matches the description of one of those stolen, in a dumpster in the 500 block of South Sixth Street.
Kirksville Police are asking for help from the public. if you saw anyone around the dumpster yesterday or today, or if you have any information regarding the thefts from vehicles, you're asked to call (660) 665-5621 or anonymously (660) 627-BUST.
