Vehicle collision in Putnam County sends two to hospital

PUTNAM COUNTY, MO. -- Two people were transported to the hospital Monday after a car and semi crashed near Unionville, Mo.

The collision happened around 10:30 Monday morning at Missouri Highway 5 one mile north of US Highway 136.
    
Police say Barbara Neighbors, 82, of Unionville, Mo. was attempting to make a left turn from a private drive and pulled into the path of Randall Ballanger, 45, of Green Castle, Mo.

Neighbors sustained minor injuries and her passenger, Beeny Neighbors, sustained serious injuries.
    
Both were transported to Putnam County Hospital.
