Kirksville man charged with child molestation

Daniel Coy, 44, of Kirksville is charged with child molestation.

KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Daniel Coy, 44, of Kirksville, has been charged with first degree child molestation.

According to court papers, Coy is accused of inappropriately touching a 13-year-old boy. It is also alleged that Coy attempted to get the victim to touch him in an inappropriate way.

The boy said that he was out with Coy at a pond near his property, off of Highway 11, when Coy touched him. Coy allegedly showed the boy pornographic magazines and offered him alcohol.


Coy is currently being held in the Adair County Jail on $100,000 cash only bond. The investigation is ongoing.
