Burlington Police investigating a shooting

BURLINGTON, IA -- Police in a southeastern Iowa town are seeking more information regarding a shooting that put an 18-year-old man in the hospital.

Burlington Police said the shooting of 18-year-old Jorge Luis Sanders-Galvez remains under investigation.

Authorities said they were dispatched to the scene shortly before 9:30 p.m. Friday. They said Sanders-Galvez was suffering from a single gunshot wound, but was responsive and conscious.

The teenager was taken to Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Burlington Police said they are still looking for tips about the crime.
