KIRKSVILLE, MISSOURI -- A northeast Missouri man facing charges in connection with a shooting incident, has been released.

Tyler Treece, 18, of Edina, is charged in connection with the shooting of a 14-year-old girl in Kirksville over Thanksgiving weekend of last year. Treece was released on his own recognizance Tuesday afternoon. He will be under house arrest at his father’s home in Worthington, Missouri. Treece had been held on a $150,000 cash only bond.

Treece is now scheduled for a jury trial beginning October 22, 2012 on felony charges of First Degree Assault, Discharging a Firearm at a Motor Vehicle, Second Degree Assault, Armed Criminal Action and First Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Adair County Prosecutor Matt Wilson told KTVO they were unable to go to trial next week after a delay in receiving test results on evidence from the state crime lab.
