OTTUMWA, IOWA -- Audience members were tapping their feet to familiar Broadway showtunes Sunday afternoon as the Indian Hills Concert Choir and the Camerata singers performed at the St. John Auditorium.

Around 50 singers graced the stage during Sunday’s final choir concert of the year.

“What we have today is really special because we combined several groups for one big concert this afternoon. We have the concert choir, we have the show choir which is called Bridge City Explosion and we also have the Camerata singers. Thrown in throughout the concert we have several solos with the students that are studying here at Indian Hills and their private voice instructors have prepared solos in the Broadway genres. And we've been preparing some of these songs for several months –lots of practice, lots of fine tuning,” said Diana Upton-Hill, Concert and Show Choir Director.

Upton-Hill said she loves all aspects of performing and getting to share music with audiences.

The auditorium was packed for today’s free concert.
