Illegally parked car leads to four arrested on meth charges

GREEN CASTLE, MO -- Four people are under arrest after Sullivan County Deputies stopped a vehicle that had been parked in a "No Parking Zone."

Authorities discovered precursors for the manufacture of methamphetamine and paraphernalia related to meth-making.

Ruth Kurtz, 23, Steven Gearhart, 25, Marilyn Brewer, 27 and Matthew Vernot, 23 are charged with attempt to manufacture  a controlled substance, a class B Felony.

All of the suspects are also charged with felony possession of paraphernalia, a class D Felony.

The four remain in the Daviess-Dakalb County Regional Jail on $50,000 cash-only bond.
