KIRKSVILLE, MO -- A new program in Kirksville is designed to encourage healthy lifestyles among the community, and it gives you a chance to win some prizes as well.
On going now through October 1st is the get Active Passport Program.
The free outdoor program was funded by the Missouri Foundation for Health.
A bulk of the grant money will go to improving facilities which includes lanes, routes and signage around town.
The program is designed to include everyone in the city.
"Kids, families, seniors everyone can get out," said Melanie Smith, the Asst. Manager Manager for the City of Kirksvile. "There is fifteen activities and it really encourages you to get out and see some of our local attractions and facilities.
Participants must complete twelve of the fifteen activies and take a photo while doing each one.
Once you have finshed twelve, submit your photos to the Parks and Reacation Depeartment.
The orange active passport booklets can be picked up at City Hall, or the Aquatic Park.
