KIRKSVILLE, MO -- Staying active is part of living a healthy life. The YMCA in Kirksville wants everyone to have the opportunity to participate in healthy activities. The Strong Kids Campaign raises money for scholarships, financial assistance, and reducing activity cost for families, children, or adults that otherwise would not be able to afford the opportunity.

“Our goal this year is $25,000. We are at $18,000 right now. We wrap up our campaign Saturday evening with a strong kids murder mystery theater at the Journal Publishing Building. It’s catered by the Wooden Nickel. Tickets are $25 a piece and you can get two complementary tickets with a donation of $250 or more to the Strong Kids Campaign,” says Kirksville YMCA Executive Director Sarah Riffer.

The doors open up at 6:00 p.m. and the dinner starts at 7:00 p.m. Saturday. Anyone interested in attending the dinner or donating to the Strong Kids Campaign is encouraged to drop off their donation at the Kirksville YMCA front desk.
