RANDOLPH COUNTY, MO. -- A Moberly woman has been charged with second degree murder for the death of her newborn baby.

Cassidy Nicole Ann King, 25, is accused of killing her newborn baby last year by throwing his body into a pond near Higbee, Mo.

Randolph County Prosecutor Mike Fusselman, who filed the charge Monday, says the incident happened between April 15 and May 8, 2011. The felony complaint alleges that King "knowingly caused the death of B.K. by injuring him and or throwing him into a pond in a weighted dufflebag." The pond is in the 1600 block of Route H near Higbee.

King's bond has been set at $100,000. She is still charged with abandonment of a corpse for the same incident, but that case has been moved to Warren County on a venue change.

King and her sister, Jamie Miles, were also charged in a drug bust in Moberly in January and face multiple charges for narcotics.

Cassidy King's initial arraignment date for the murder charge has not been set yet. She is scheduled to appear in Huntsville for an April 16 preliminary hearing for the drug charges.

King is currently being held at the women's prison in Vandalia. She had been on probation for stealing anhydrous ammonia in Shelby County, but the courts revoked that probation on March 2.
