ST. LOUIS, MO -- The federal murder trial in the shooting death of an Adair county man back in 2006 moved into its second day Tuesday.

Kay Young and Katherine Mock each face federal charges of murder for hire and conspiracy to commit murder for hire, in connection with the murder of young's husband, Melvin Griesbauer at the couple's residence near Novinger.

Opening arguments took place Tuesday morning, with testimony getting underway just before noon. The trial is expected to last into the early part of next week at the federal courthouse in Saint Louis.
