Five people arrested in Scotland County

MEMPHIS, MO -- A 16 month investigation ends with the arrests of five people in Scotland County.

The five were rounded up Wednesday morning by members of the Memphis Police Department, Scotland County Sheriff's Office, North Missouri Drug Task Force, Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control.

Charged are Eric Clayton Sevier, 33, and Sarah Parker, 27, both of Memphis. They are charged with one count of distribution of marijuana.

Robby Burnett, 24, of Memphis, is charged with two counts of distribution of marijuana. 

Also charged is Joseph Spurgeon, 22, of Granger. He is charged with two counts of distribution of oxycontin and two counts of distribution of marijuana.

And Sherry Stone, 35, also of Granger, is charged with one count of distribution of aderol and one count of distribution of vicodin.

Each suspect is being held on $50,000.00 cash only bond. Authorities say more arrests are pending.
