OTTUMWA, IOWA -- Opening day of the Ottumwa Pizza Ranch drew quite a crowd as its doors opened at 11 a.m. Monday.

Owner Curt Hopkins told KTVO Friday that he expected a pretty good turnout, but the crowd that showed up exceeded his expectations. Lines were out the door before the restaurant even opened.

With kids off school for President's Day, they came out in full force to eat a bit of their favorite pizza.

For Dallas Fogle, that meant a tough choice.

"I would suggest their taco pizza, it's really good," she said. "And their chicken... and mashed potatoes are good too. Everything's good!"

Alicia and Ashton, students at Agassiz Elementary both claimed pepperoni as their  favorite.

The Ottumwa Pizza Ranch has the same menu as its other location in Fairfield, but the building is 1,000 square feet larger, and also stays open later.
