Criminal charges dropped against Kirksville couple

KIRKSVILLE, MISSOURI -- Criminal charges against two former Kirksville business owners has been dropped by Adair County prosecutor Matt Wilson.

Allen and Danielle Russell, owners of the former Kirksville business; "Russell Extreme Sports" had been charged with felony theft.

The owners of a former Kirksville business have landed behind bars.

Allen Russell, 41, and his wife, Danielle, 27, formerly owned Russell Extreme Sports in downtown Kirksville are charged with one count each of felony stealing.

According to court documents, the couple failed to payback nearly $50,000 to an investor after liquidating the business.
It's also alleged the couple mislead the victim by providing false information about the status of Russell Extreme Sports.

The date for the couple's first court appearance has not yet been set.
