KIRKSVILLE, MO --

Two Kirksville men are dead after what appears to be a murder-suicide.

Adair County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 911 call at 18955 State Highway 157 just after midnight. The call reported that an alleged shooting had taken place at a residence near Thousand Hills State Park.

When they arrived on scene, the deputies heard what they believe to be a gunshot, and called the Kirksville Police Department for assistance.

Authorities found the bodies of Kyley Sutton, 19, and Andrew Lough, 38, both of Kirksville. Their names were released by Adair County Coroner Brian Noe.  According to the Adair County Sheriff’s Office, both men suffered apparent fatal gunshot wounds.

Authorities are investigating the apparent murder-suicide. We will have more information as it becomes available.
