BLOOMFIELD, IOWA -- A southeast Iowa man accused of murder will not be making his initial court appearance Friday as planned.

According to Iowa Courts Online, Larry Steen, 59, of Bloomfield has waived his preliminary hearing scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Friday in Davis County Court.

Steen is accused of fatally shooting Randy Saner of Bloomfield last week.

At this time, Steen is being represented by Allen Cook from the Public Defender's Office

Cook just recently resigned as the Wapello County attorney.

No date has been set yet for Steen's next court appearance.
