On Wednesday, April 28, the President will hold events in Macon, MO and Quincy, IL.  More details will be announced for these events as they become available.

The President’s Town Hall Meeting in Ottumwa is open to the public. Tickets will be distributed on a first come first served basis on Monday, April 26 starting at 12 PM until tickets run out at the Hellyer Student Life Center at Indian Hills Community College 525 Grandview Avenue, Ottumwa.  The Carter Ave entrance to the Hellyer Student Life Center will also be open for ticket distribution.

The President’s arrival at Quincy Regional Airport, remarks at Siemens Energy Inc Facility, the town hall meeting in Ottumwa on April 27 and departure from Des Moines International Airport on April 28 will be open to pre-credentialed media.  His tour of the Siemens Energy Inc Facility and stop in Mt. Pleasant will have pooled press access only.

Ottumwa City Administrator Joe Helfenberger believes Indian Hills is an appropriate location for the president's visit.

“He will be going to Indian Hills. There are buildings over there that were built with largely federal funds that are very helpful,” Helfenberger said.

Ottumwa Police Chief Jim Clark received more details about the visit after talking with the Secret Service Wednesday afternoon.

He said Ottumwa will do what is asked, but will not be doing too much because of the President's busy schedule and short stay.

KTVO will bring you more details of the events, including locations, when the White House releases them to the media.
