We’ve been following the story of the struggles of Premium Standard Farms to meet state odor requirements...and reports those struggles could lead to PSF's closure. We now have some brand new information.

Premium Standard Farms President Bill Homann has sent a memo to employees of the company addressing recent comments about a possible closure of PSF.

In the memo, Homann says the company "has been diligently working with the Missouri Attorney General" and a group called the “Expert Panel”, to establish next generation technology on the company's largest farms.

Homann says in the memo the company needs additional time to meet the odor guidelines.

Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster will hold a question and answer session with PSF employees and interested citizens, Monday night at the high school in Princeton, beginning at 8:00. The public is invited to attend the meeting.
