CLARK COUNTY, MO --

A one vehicle crash sent two Heartland residents to the hospital on New Year's Day.

Jessica Humes, 21, of Wyaconda lost control of her vehicle on an ice covered roadway just west of Route W in Clark County. The vehicle went into a ditch and flipped over. Humes was taken by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries. A condition report was not available on Humes when we contacted the hospital Saturday.

Also injured in the crash was Patrick Parsons, 20, of Memphis, Missouri. Parsons suffered minor injuries and was taken to Scotland County Memorial Hospital for Treatment.
