OPD looking for gas station thief

On December 13, 2009 at approximately 4:25 AM, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the British Petroleum (BP) gas station located at 1340 Albia Road in Ottumwa.  Upon arrival, officers learned that a lone person had entered the business at 4:25 AM brandishing a large knife.  The suspect is described as a white 5’6” male with blond hair and wearing a bandana over his face.  After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled the area on foot.
