MILLARD, MO. -- Airport officials say they will finally start offering an early morning flight out of Kirksville Regional Airport.

Beginning January 10th Air Choice One offers a change in departure and arrival times.

There will be two roundtrip flights a day to St. Louis beginning at 6:30 a.m.

The final flight will land in Kirksville at 7:00 p.m. and the aircraft will spend the night at the Kirksville Regional Airport.

Officials say this is the result of surveys and other forms of customer response from the past year.

“We think it will increase the ridership this is something our riders have expressed they wanted.  The city, the airport, we've asked for those changes and January 10th they finally agreed to do that,” said Airport Director David Hall.

Hall says this will allow customers to connect to other flights out of St. Louis earlier in the day.

Air Choice One will offer the one way $49 fare if the ticket is booked 14 days in advance.  Otherwise the one way fare is $69.

There are also changes to the weekend flight times.

Here is a link to the current schedule and the new schedule beginning January 10th, 2010.

Wish they would have thought of this earlier. Would have been nice not to have to leave my vehicle at Lambert over the holidays.
