JEFFERSON CITY - Senator Wes Shoemyer will present a check to the Clark County Council on Aging/Senior Center Thursday, October 8 for the purchase of an industrial mixer. The kitchen mixer will be used by the Senior Center to provide congregate meals and to deliver meals to home-bound citizens and handicapped residents who are 18-59 years old.

Sen. Shoemyer worked with Craig Felzine of AT&T to secure the $3,500 in funding needed to purchase the industrial mixer. Felzine will join Sen.
Shoemyer in Kahoka for the check presentation Thursday.

"I want to thank Craig Felzine and AT&T for being a good corporate citizen and giving back to our communities," Sen. Shoemyer said. "By working with
AT&T, we were able to secure private funding for the Clark County Senior Center to expand their ability to serve meals to those in need."

Trudi Baker, Director of the Clark County Senior Center, says they provide approximately 1,666 congregate and home-delivered meals to area residents
each month. Baker says the center also provides daily meals to handicapped residents at the sheltered workshop in Kahoka. She says the new kitchen
mixer will make meal preparation much easier while allowing the center to expand its services to area residents.

Sen. Shoemyer and Craig Felzine of AT&T will present the check for the industrial mixer to Baker and her staff at 11:15 am Thursday, October 8 at
the Clark County Senior Center, 222 N. Lincoln, Kahoka, Missouri. Area media outlets are encouraged to attend the presentation.
