EDINA, MO. -- It’s been an idea for years, but now a Community Fitness Center in Edina, Missouri is closer to becoming a reality.
The Missouri Economic Development Commission has approved the Neighborhood Assistance Program for the project.
Basically, the group building the center can now earn $350,000.00 in tax credits to build the center.
Officials say when people donate money for the project, they will get most or all of it back when they file their taxes.
“Everybody is really excited. There isn’t much on our square, so having a nice, new, big building will be awesome,” Knox County Community Center Board President Lindsey Leckbee said.
