QUEEN CITY, MO --
Hundreds are attending an all night walk-athon at the 10th annual Schuyler County Relay for Life.
The event kicked off at 5:00 Saturday afternoon and will continue until 5 a.m. Sunday morning. Around 200 people joined in this year's relay to help find a cure. Last year’s Relay brought in over $35,000 and organizers say they are hoping to raise as much this year.
“I think it's great for those who are battling cancer, and for them to see so many of us care abou tit and want to fight it and get of it. I think it's important for the future, for people to know we don't want our children to battle this,” said Organizers Tammie Brundage and Kelly Lovekamp.
If you or someone you know is battling cancer and would like to talk someone, call 1-800-ACS-2345.
