MACON - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening MoDOT will be switching the traffic
pattern on Route 36 at the Route 151 intersection near Clarence. This will
be a major change in the flow of traffic in this area and motorists must use
extreme caution, exercise patience and pay close attention to traffic
control devices.

Previously two-way traffic on Route 36 had been routed on two ramps at this
location as a bypass for the area under the Route 151 Bridge. Now, two-way
traffic on Route 36 will utilize the newly constructed pavement under the
Route 151 Bridge. The ramps previously used as the bypass will be closed.
Also, the Route 151 Bridge over Route 36 will open to traffic.

Traffic on Route 36 needing to access Route 151 must take Business 36 into
Clarence and proceed to Route 151, exactly as before the project began.

Signs and other safety control devices are in place to assist motorists with
the new traffic flow in the area; and again, motorists are urged to use
caution as drivers become familiar with these changes.
