LA PLATA, MO --

With autumn in full swing, people are flocking to the Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze at Jackson Country Connections near La Plata, Missouri to enjoy some fall activities.

KTVO’S Eden Derby, Emily Finnegan, and Ashley Smith headed out to Jackson Country Connections Sunday. We had a great time checking out the corn maze, which is cut in the shape of a train in honor of La Plata's history with the railroad.

The owners hired a professional corn maze designer to cut the maze, and are thrilled with how it turned out.

“We linked with individuals who are doing this same kind of thing all across the nation, so they served as our mentors. It’s a first time effort and we're quite pleased. We're a-‘mazed’ with the reception we’ve received," said Owner Andrea Jackson.

Visitors can also enjoy other family activities like hay rides, a bounce house, and a corn cannon. Jackson Country Connections is open every Friday and Sunday from noon until 6 pm and on Saturdays from 10 am until 6 pm.

The corn maze will be open through November 2.

KIDS LOVED IT!

Posted by A great experience! KV, MO - Saturday, August 01, 2009 at 8:13 a.m.

Our three children loved their time at Country Connections! The maze was fantastic, along with all the other activities. We appreciated that everything was so family-oriented, and any kids - from college age students on down to preschoolers - would enjoy the experience (pretty fun for us "older" folks too :). We're already planning another visit this fall, when we can take the grandparents along with!

cost

How much does the corn maze cost per person or per child no one has giving a price they just give and estimate. How much is it? and does that include everything?

Great for groups and birthday parties

They do give price breaks for groups but you need to call ahead and let them know you are coming. That includes daycare, schools, church groups, etc. We live in the Virginia Beach area and pay a lot more for a lot less to enjoy this kind of activity.

Just call ahead...for more questions

They do have price breaks. Our group just went this past weekend, and if you have so many in your group, the price drops to $5 I think it was!

THE CORN MAZE WAS SO MUCH FUN FOR MY ENTIRE FAMILY. MR AND MRS JACKSON AND THE ENTIRE STAFF WERE NOTHING BUT WONDERFUL!! I WOULD PAY MORE IF NEEDED! WHERE ELSE AROUND HERE CAN YOU FEEL SAFE WITH LETTING YOUR KIDS RUN AROUND? I THINK FOR SEVEN DOLLARS, IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT! I RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE WHO WANTS A GOOD FAMILY TIME!

TOTALLY WORTH IT

WE HAD A GREAT TIME AT THE MAZE AND THE PRICE WAS NOT AT ALL TOO HIGH FOR ALL THAT THEY OFFER. WE WERE THERE FOR HOURS AND WERE NEVER BORED, INCLUDING MY 2 YEAR OLD. IT OFFERS A GREAT FAMILY ATMOSPHERE AND THE KIDS CAN REALLY LET LOOSE AND HAVE FUN. WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.

Just wondering

I was just wondering, it's a little bit pricey to just go in and buy a pumpkin or to get some mums. That's a little like paying double isn't it?

Pricy

Posted by wanted to see, somewhere in Northeast MO - Monday, October 20, 2008 at 12:27 a.m.

It is a nice idea, but a little pricy, and they do not give any kind of price break for daycares or schools.

Anybody know?

Anybody have directions? It would have been nice for you to at least give directions.
