GREEN CASTLE, MO --
Green Castle, Missouri is hopping this weekend with the annual Lion's Club Labor Day Celebration.
KTVO stopped by Sunday afternoon for the Little Mr. and Miss labor day contest, which is a new event this year. Sunday’s events included a pet parade, a kiddie pedal pull, and horseshoe pitching. The annual rodeo show was also in town for the past two nights.
“So far I think it's gone really well. Friday night we played bingo, yesterday we had our car show, they had the largest number of entries we've had in the past 18 years. They were very pleased, new people came and joined us, and I think all in all it's been a very good year for us,” said Kathy Clawson, President of the Green Castle Lions Club.
The Green Castle festivities wrap up Monday with the 67th Annual Parade at 11 a.m.
