UNIONVILLE, MO. -- There's apparently some tension between the Putnam County Memorial Hospital Board of Directors and a number of employees and community members.

Concerned citizens and hospital employees made their concerns known Wednesday afternoon during the public portion of the board meeting in Unionville.

So many people attended, the meeting was moved from the board room to the hospital cafeteria.

The meeting was more than an hour late getting started because the closed, executive session lasted much longer than it usually does.

Some employees expressed frustration regarding the hospital's chain of command.

Another employee said she believes there's a problem with board members keeping confidential matters confidential.

One other woman who works at Putnam County Memorial Hospital accused the board of micromanaging.

While we were there, board members didn't respond to many of the comments.

They mostly just listened to the concerns and comments from employees and area residents.
