KNOX CITY, MO. --

A Kirksville woman pleads guilty to federal charges.

Susan Warren, 40 entered a guilty plea to bank fraud charges in connection with the embezzlement of $140,000.00 from two employers. Warren admitted to taking the money while she worked at Leehoff Auto Recycling and Pape Trucking, both with offices in Knox City. The two businesses maintained separate accounts at a bank in La Belle, while Warren's personal account was at a Kirksville Bank.

Over nearly a two-year period, Warren admitted she wrote checks from the business to herself and others for personal expenses that totaled the $140,000 amount. Warren could be sentenced up to 30 years in federal prison and/or fines up to $1 million. She has also agreed to make restitution to both businesses. Sentencing is set for October.

WHY WHY

I know Susan and the Papes very well at least i thought i did. Susan how could you do this to Dee? You were suppose to be their friend she has been through so much in the past 10 yrs. What kind of example are you setting for your kid. Then to top it all off you basically used Tammy. I've known Tammy and Dee for years and they are the most caring people i know they would do about anything for anyone. Then a friend does this to them. Yes, Tad Pole, please pray for her she needs it. My thoughts and prayers are with the Pape's.

this is absolutely disgusting behaviour, not only for a woman of her age but a resident of a small community. she should be punished to the absolute maximum and the people around her that knew what she was doing should be punished aswell, in a small town such as ours, crimes like this do NOT go un-noticed by others and those of you that knew what was happening should be ashamed of yourselves

Thank goodness dishonesty and manipulation isnt against the law or we ALL would probably be in jail. I love you Susan and I am praying for you and your family....

This woman should be sentenced the maximum penalty allowed. She has a history of dishonesty, and a way of manipulating people for her monetary gain. She has also been entrusted in the care of others, as a nurse (LPN) with their lives in her hands. The state should also be looking at penalizing her nursing license. This conduct should not be taken lightly with a slap on the wrist. Ranger3040
