Macon man killed in motorcycle crash

CALLAO, MO. -- A Heartland man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Macon County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened just after midnight Saturday on Highway 36 west of Callao.

27-year-old Paul Cook of Macon, Mo., was westbound on 36 when he lost control of the motorcycle he was driving. He went off the road and was thrown from the bike.

Cook was pronounced dead that the scene by Macon County Coroner Brian Hayes.
