SCHUYLER COUNTY, MO. -- The Missouri State Highway Patrol says they know who stole a car and sparked a manhunt on Tuesday.

A manhunt was called off Tuesday night after the patrol says officers exhausted searching the area and darkness arrived.

Officials say the car was stolen from Kirksville and was spotted by the patrol speeding over 90 miles per hour down Highway 63 just south of Queen City.

When a trooper tried to pull the car over, the driver drove into a ditch and took off on foot.

Lieutenant Elfrink says they’re pretty sure they know where the suspect is hiding out and are anticipating an arrest soon.
