MACON, MO -- The following is a press release from the Missouri Department of Transportation:

MoDOT will reduce Route 36 to one-lane traffic in Macon County at the Route V Junction near Anabel beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30 through Wednesday July 1.

Flagmen will control traffic and direct motorists in the work zone, which will extend approximately 200 feet west and 200 feet east of the Route V Junction.  Work will take place each day from 7:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Reducing the roadway to one-lane traffic will allow construction crews to create an equipment crossing to perform ditching work for the four-lane project on Route 36.

Motorists are advised to use extreme caution in the work zone, obey the reduced speed limit of 45 mph and pay close attention to the flagmen directing traffic in the area.

The work is weather dependent and could be delayed or rescheduled.

For more information, contact the MoDOT District 2 Customer Service Center toll-free at 1-888-ASK MoDOT (275-6636) between 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or visit the MoDOT website at http://www.modot.org/northcentral.

I am glad I happened to look at this website. Our new abc provider hasn't said anything about this. I am going to Chilicothe and this is important to know. Thank you.
