CLARK COUNTY, MO --
On May 15, 2009, through a joint investigation conducted by Lee County Sheriff's Office, Keokuk Police Department, and the Clark County Sheriff's Office, a search warrant was served at 400 Belnap Place, Keokuk, Iowa.
During the search, items reported as stolen from residents in Clark, Lewis, Lee and Hancock Counties were recovered.
Through this investigation, numerous day-time burglaries in Clark County have been solved, and charges are pending on two suspects.
These suspects are identified as John Wesley Spencer, age 33, and Kristin Marie Steingreaber, age 30, both of 400 Belnap Place, Keokuk, Iowa.
I appreciate the assistance we have received from citizens of Clark County, Lee County Sheriff's Office, and Keokuk Police Department. We look forward to serving the community and will continue to do our part.
Paul R. Gaudette, Clark County Sheriff
