KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A common summer tradition is to attend summer camp!
At the Adair County Family YMCA, summer day camp is underway.
As long as Kirksville isn't in regular school session, the day camp is available.
“We play games all day long, we have weekly field trips, we go to the library, we go to the pool, we go around to Brashear Park, we walk there,” said Camp Coordinator Danielle Freeman.
Freeman says on a nice day, they will go outside and play with the slip and slide and hose.
Campers can be in kindergarten through 6th grade. Day camp goes from 7:30 a.m. to six p.m. Monday through Friday. The cost is $70 a week for members and $90 for non-members. You have to pay for the entire week and put down a deposit to hold your spot.
