BLOOMFIELD, IOWA -- After strong winds and hail ripped through Bloomfield, Iowa Sunday night, cleanup continues Tuesday.
The Novinger/Northern Fire Department sent seven volunteers to help with cleanup.
Many limbs, leaves, and even shards of glass were scattered across the streets and lawns.
Novinger/Northern has an agreement with Bloomfield fire after they responded to assist with the Novinger tornado cleanup in May.
“They've had some crews come down and help us after the tornado and we figured we'd help them back out,” said Novinger Northern Fire Department Crew Leader Seth Dimmitt.
The courthouse lawn was where the volunteers spent most of their time today. They also helped at the pool and some houses that had damage.
Crew members say they plan to spend most of the day in Bloomfield and will return to Novinger Tuesday evening.
