lets get some bubble wrap

what we need is to wrap every person in sterilized bubble wrap and keep them locked in a box..best way to keep everyone safe.
Life isnt lived worrying about 'what may happen"
the fact is accidents happen no matter what safety you take

BTW a seatbelt in a buggy would be asking to kill more people, not less. lot easier to get away from a panicked horse if you arent strapped to him

As for the family, what a terrible thing and my heart goes out to you. peace be with you and your son.

shame on you!

Why aren't all these postings in sympathy for these parents and family who have lost a small child? How rude to turn this into a political fight. My thoughts and prayers are for the family and shame on anyone else who comments otherwise. What a horrible loss!

if that's how you want it

Fine..no regulations. Let's just keep hearing more news of children dying. And while we are at it get rid of all seatbelts! Why not!! What demon made me think that I need to care about the safety and welfare of others!! WAKE UP!!!

This is a shame

Please, give the people a break

The LAST thing we need is more regulation!! We don't need the government telling us even more things!!

Give the people a break and let the government and the government controlled media decide when you should feel sad or outraged; when you should wake and go to sleep.

Tell the government to tell you to show these people some respect (perhaps obama's teleprompter could tell you to do that).

In the meantime, I feel extremely sorry for these folks, and for those of us that are still allowed to pray; our prayers are with you.

Ugh

"screams out to me that there needs to be a regulation passed"

No. There absolutely is not a need for more regulations to be passed.

My God. Have you no shame? Is there anything you fascist nannyists types won't exploit as casus belli for your twisted agenda of control over others?

Here is an idea. Mind your own business. Run your own life and leave others to run theirs as they see fit.

what a shame

Yes it is extremely horrifying to hear of a young child being killed but this just screams out to me that there needs to be a regulation passed concerning Amish vehicles. Seat belts are a good idea even for buggies and wagons. I've also witnessed Amish come to my yard sales that just get out of the van with their infants on sitting on their laps. I personally believe that the safety of a child is more important than religious beliefs.

Very Sad

It just tear's a person's heart out to read a sad story like this.I can't even imagine how the parent's must feel.I hope by the grace of God that i never find out.My Son and Daughter are adult's but they have some beautiful children, and it would kill me if something like this would happen to one of them.

My thought's and Prayers go out to all who's live's this little guy has touched.I know this is a small comfort, but remember there wouldn't be any little Angle's in Heaven,if we didn't lose children along the way..

my heart goes out

to the family and the child. It was too soon for a life just starting. I'm sure he'll be missed, but always with you no matter what.
