QUEEN CITY, MO -- Alyssa Greenstreet is a great student who has fun with everything she does.
“Alyssa always has a positive attitude and she always has a smile for everybody, so she's really pleasant in class,” said Chemistry Teacher Sara Sevitz.
She stays busy before, during, and after school with her school work and activities, which are FBLA, Renaissance, National Honor Society, 4-H, and A-PLUS.
In the fall Alyssa will attend Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa as a pre-pharmacy major.
“I've always liked the science field, took a lot of chemistry classes, biology, anatomy, so I thought I might as well interpret that into helping people too, and pharmacy's a good way to do that,” said Greenstreet.
Her teachers don't think she'll have any trouble when she goes off on her own.
“She works really hard at everything that she does. She gets very good grades in these challenging courses that she takes. She's a leader, and she does very well in class,” Sevitz said.
She received a scholarship to Graceland University, and will live her childhood dream by playing college softball.
“I'm really excited. I love to play ball, so this is gonna be great. Something new, I’ll get to meet new people, go out there. College ball is a lot different than high school ball, so I’ll learn a lot,” Greenstreet said.
Congratulations to Alyssa Greenstreet from Schuyler County High School!
