MEMPHIS, MO. -- Scotland County High School senior Christina Duzan has a lot on her plate—but she's not complaining

“I wouldn't know what to do if I wasn't busy!” Duzan said.

Not only is Christina holding down a 3. 93 GPA, she also boasts an impressive resume of extra curricular activities that includes being a member of the softball and dance teams, captain of the campus bowl team and editor in chief of the yearbook. Her teachers have high praise for this Scholar of the Week.

“Christina Duzan is the kind of student that makes teaching rewarding. It makes you want to get up and come to school everyday, and to check those papers and spend the late nights. She's the reason,” said Communication Arts Teacher Brad Cerbin.

With graduation only a few short months away, Christina is preparing for a future in public relations or advertising. She’ll attend William Jewell College this fall and plans to major in organizational communication and minor in business.

And while she’s excited about what the future holds, she says leaving Scotland County High School behind, is bittersweet.

“I'm going to miss seeing my friends and my sisters. My sister's a freshman so we got to do a lot of stuff together this year,” Duzan said.

As she prepares to walk the halls for the last time, she has a few words of wisdom to share.

“Enjoy it while you're here and don't be afraid to leave your mark and have people remember that you were a part of this.”

KTVO congratulates to Christina Duzan from Scotland County High School!
