LANCASTER, MO. -- Gun sales have sky rocketed around the country since Barack Obama won the Presidential election last week, and it’s no different here in the heartland.
Bosco Gun Club in Lancaster, Missouri has sold 40% more guns than normal this past week. The owner says most of the guns have been pistols not generally used for hunting.
The owner, Bosco Roberts, has been in the business for 40 years. He says it’s pretty common for this spike in sales to happen. “It happens every time someone gets into office that is for gun control. People get really nervous,” Roberts said.
President-elect Barack Obama has said in the past that he respects Americans’ second amendment rights to have guns, but he favors “common sense” gun laws.
