Crash kills two in Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY, IOWA -- Two women are dead after a car crash in southeast Iowa.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, 18-year-old Julia Weeks of Wellman veered onto the shoulder of the road, over-corrected, and overturned in a ditch on the opposite side of the road.  The car she was came to rest upside down.

The crash happened Thursday night on Ginkgo Avenue south of Wellman in Washington County.
    
Weeks and her passenger, 28-year-old Tiffany Lee Klinetobe, also of Wellman, were pronounced dead at the scene.

A second passenger, 21-year-old Adam Ray Fry of Sigourney, was taken to University Hospitals in Iowa City by helicopter.
