KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- The Downtown Design and Review Ordinance has been discussed for several months now.

Kirksville Codes and Planning Director Brad Selby has been meeting with the Kirksville Planning and Zoning Committee and the Kirksville Historic Preservation Commission (KHPC) on a new ordinance regarding new construction downtown.

After several meetings, both committees decided there needed to be a new survey for downtown property owners along with the ordinance.

Wednesday night, KHPC read the new survey and ordinance and made some minor changes.

Selby said he would take their changes and go over the information with the Planning and Zoning Committee next week.

Once they review the changes, Selby said new surveys will be mailed to downtown property owners.
