Juanita “Louise” (Ledford) Griswold

Juanita “Louise” (Ledford) Griswold, 75, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly, Friday (January 18, 2013) at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.
The daughter of James “Merald” and Daisy Halene (Billington) Ledford, she was born September 24, 1937 in Adair County, Missouri. On November 23, 1955 in Kirksville, Missouri, Louise was united in marriage to Bill Griswold.
Louise is survived by her husband, Bill of fifty-seven years; one son Steve Griswold of Kirksville, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Dennis Peterson of Auxvasse, MO; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Gary and Evelyn Ledford of Kirksville, MO and Donald Ledford of Novinger, MO; three grandchildren, Stacy Rust, Hadassah Peterson and Kami Peterson; one great-granddaughter, Avery Rust, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Louise was a graduate from Novinger High School and resided on a farm near Morelock until her marriage in 1955. She was employed a number of years for Florsheim Shoe Factory until retiring.
Louise enjoyed swimming, quilting, and will be remembered as being a wonderful cook.
She was a member of Senior Circle of Kirksville.
Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. today, Monday (January 21, 2013) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Dennis Peterson officiating. Interment followed the service at Green Castle Cemetery in Green Castle, Missouri.
Family received friends today Monday (January 21, 2013) from noon to service time in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Randy Shafer, John Eichmier, Mark Rogers, Rich Harden, Heath Rust and Matt Ledford. Honorary pallbearers were Frank Griswold and Danny Griswold.
