NOVINGER, MO. -- Adair County R-I School in Novinger was transformed into a mini mall Saturday.

The Novinger Renewal non-profit organization held its 27th annual Country Christmas Craft Festival.

More than 70 booths filled both gyms and the hallways as vendors from around the area showed off their arts and crafts.

Vendor Marilyn Horn of Appanoose County, Iowa, has been selling her jewelry at the festival for the past four years. She enjoys meeting all the customers.

"This is like a stress buster from life, like a fantasy type thing. Everyone here has just been so nice and in a festive mood. They are ready for Christmas. There are so many people coming through, and they seem so happy. They are buying for Christmas already. I am glad," Horn said.

A food stand and a bake sale at the festival  served lunch and dessert .

Admission to the event was by donation. Money raised by the festival will go to the Novinger Community Center.
