MDC Previews the Wild Game Chili Cook-Off

Mark your Calendar, the Wild Game Chili Cook Off, Benefiting Share the Harvest and Christian Community Food Depot is next Saturday, March 23rd at Ray Miller Elementary School in Kirksville...

During the chili tasting event there will also be an antler scoring event in the gym. Certified Boone and Crocket Scorers will be on hand to officially score deer antlers from previous seasons. 

Information about chili cook off registration:
Advance Registration: $20 per team (includes 2 T-shirts).
Due by March 20, 2013.
Late Registration: $30 per team (includes 2 T-shirts).
Late registration will be accepted at the door.

Please make checks payable to "Share the Harvest" and mail in advance to:

Regular Competition Participants Should:
-Bring in 1 Gallon of Chili (No commercial kitchen requirement)
-Provide small cups and spoons for sampling
-Bring crock pot, roasting pan, or chafing dish to keep chili warm

Participants interested in Competing in the People's Choice Award Should:
-Bring in 5 Gallons of Chili, prepared in a commercial kitchen
(Please contact the Tourism Office at 660-665-3766 for information on kitchens available)
-Provide small cups and spoons for sampling
-Bring crock pot, roasting pan, or chafing dish to keep chili warm

Judges will award honors for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and honorable mention. The public will award the "Golden Antler" People's Choice Award.

Additional T-Shirts are Available for $10 each
